Gaming Gallery 3 – Injustice 2

Today’s Gaming Galley focuses on Injustice 2. Created by NetherRealm Studios, Injustice 2 brings together an alternative version of the DC Universe where Superman has become a dictator and Batman leads the insurgent faction to stop him. You get to play as multiple characters in DC Comics lore and it’s a blast to play. The game has a gear system which allows you to create your own look for the characters. Here are some of the gear loadouts for some of my favorite characters.

Wonder Woman

The Flash

Green Lantern

Green Arrow

Black Canary

Harley Quinn

Poison Ivy

Black Manta

The Science Behind Pixar

Hey everyone! I’ve been gone a while. I’ve spent most of September editing a small feature. Now that it’s all done. I can get back to things here. I do have some pieces in the works, but I did want to take a moment to share some moments from when my wife and I visited the Franklin Institute in my hometown of Philadelphia to see the Science Behind Pixar exhibit. Here we got to not only see, but get some hands on time with the technology that has made some fantastic films over the years.

Gotham City Photography – Shots from Batman: Arkham Knight

Taking some time out to share some photos I created in the Photo Mode of the video game Batman: Arkham Knight. I completed the game a while back but went back to play the DLC missions and rediscovered this mode. I didn’t have a good grasp on it in the beginning, simply taking standard shots of what was immediately on screen. I kept practicing and got a handle on moving the camera around, fiddling with the lighting, looking at the best angles and I think I’ve improved a great deal. So here are some recent shots. I hope you all enjoy!

A Meeting of the Minds: Marvel Comics Hip-Hop Variants

I love comics. I love Marvel Comics. I love music. I love Hip-Hop. Well Marvel has taken these things I love and mashed them together for a special blend of superheroes and music. For each of their new #1 issues following the Secret Wars Event, Marvel has released a variant cover based on a hip-hop album covers from past and present. I saw that they were doing this and had to get in. I did not get all of them, but here are a few that I have gotten that I am pleased to share.

Doctor Strange #1 – Cover based on The Chronic by Dr. Dre

The Astonishing Ant-Man #1 – Cover based on Ready to Die by The Notorious B.I.G.

The Invincible Iron Man #1 – Cover based on Get Rich or Die Tryin by 50 Cent

Amazing Spider-Man #1 – Cover based on Midnight Marauders by A Tribe Called Quest

Spider-Gwen #1 – Cover based on The Great Adventures of Slick Rick by Slick Rick

Contest of Champions #1 – Cover based on Liquid Swords by GZA

More and More

It’s been a while. Here is the newest Pop! collection update…

Collection update time! Let’s greet the new arrivals…

First is Harley Quinn in her New 52 style. I love this comic and it introduced me to the work of Amanda Connor and Jimmy Palmiotti.

My wife wanted a princess for our collection and she certainly picked a good one with Princess Tiana from Disney’s The Princess and the Frog

James Whale returned to the director’s chair and gave us one of the earliest examples of a sequel that can be considered equal or better than the original. The Bride of Frankenstein. Cue that iconic scream.

“To the Batcave Robin!” I couldn’t have my collection exist without 1960s Batman. This series and film’s cheesiness is infectious.

*Updated* Forgot one! Can’t forget the ultimate anarchist The Dark Knight’s Joker

Superhero Snapshots

These are just some pictures I shot of the Justice League while practicing with my new Canon DSLR. Some are solo, some are with the animated movies released about them. Enjoy!
